2015年7月的伦敦体育场
美国职棒大联盟伦敦系列赛，简称MLB伦敦系列赛，是美国职棒大联盟在英国伦敦所举行的例行赛事。这场系列赛由敏迪网络公司(Mitel)冠名赞助，[1]第一届在2019年举行，由波士顿红袜做为主场球队与纽约洋基对决。2020年原定由芝加哥小熊与圣路易红雀来举行，但因为COVID-19疫情肆虐而取消。2023年，伦敦系列赛又再度恢复。[2]
背景[编辑]
2018年5月8日，大联盟宣布将从2019年起，连续两年在英国伦敦举办海外例行赛。第一届的赛事组合就由大联盟最有名的世仇纽约洋基和波士顿红袜来进行对决。[3]
大联盟以前就已经在澳洲、日本、墨西哥和波多黎各等地方举办例行赛，[4]也曾在中国进行春训，[5]不过他们从未在欧洲举办过比赛。国家美式橄榄球联盟(NFL)已经在伦敦举办过多年海外赛，他们在2018年曾经缔造单场超过85000名观众入场观看比赛的纪录。[6]至于NBA也有在伦敦进行NBA海外赛的记录。

2019年，纽约洋基与波士顿红袜进行了两场比赛，洋基分别以17:13和12:8带走了胜利。
2020年[编辑]
2020年6月13日和14日预定举行伦敦系列赛，并由芝加哥小熊和圣路易红雀进行比赛。[7]但因为COVID-19疫情爆发的缘故，导致大联盟赛事延至7月24日才举行，伦敦系列赛也因此宣告暂停。除了伦敦系列赛，大联盟在波多黎各和墨西哥的海外赛也因同样原因取消。[8]

2023年，芝加哥小熊与圣路易红雀进行了两场比赛，小熊以9:1赢下第一场；红雀以7:5赢下第二场。
2024年&2026年[编辑]
2022年5月9日，大联盟主席曼佛德与伦敦市长萨迪克·汗进行了长期合作。[9]2024年6月8日和6月9日，将由纽约大都会和费城费城人进行伦敦系列赛。[10]
